Following on from Castle of Shikigami II, we are finally able to deliver Castle of Shikigami III to everyone!
There has been passionate demand for this since we ported Castle of Shikigami II, but due to various circumstances it has taken four years.
Thank you very much for your patience for so long.
As our goal for the Steam version was to release it as quickly as possible, some features that were not available in the arcade version will be provided as a free update at a later date.
Instead, we have added support for Remote Play Together, so we hope you will enjoy the multiplayer experience.

I found out that “Castle of Shikigami” III appeared in arcades in 2006.
This means it was likely started around 2004—which is now 20 years ago.
Looking back, the ideas seem incredibly bold: subtly adding Bubble-n to Nagi’s backpack, introducing a green-haired character named Reika who shouts “Time Stop!”, bringing in Emirio, a boy who shoots light rays, or a blonde woman carrying what seems like a holy gun.
But thinking about it now, the fact that we introduced a shrine maiden named Sayo from the very beginning was actually quite audacious.
I remember at the time, hoping that encountering “Castle of Shikigami III” would spark interest in other things, hoping people would come to know and appreciate it.
Perhaps it was the impetuosity of youth that led me to use things I loved without much restraint.
Twenty years have passed, and “Castle of Shikigami III” has almost completely disappeared from arcades, and I think many people now are unfamiliar with it.
Personally, though, I’m glad that we’ve got the chance to let people know that Castle of Shikigami III existed.
If possible, I hope that Castle of Shikigami III can be revived this year, almost 20 years after its arcade release.
To bring back memories. Or perhaps a moment of new encounters.
